If any of you have been keeping up with the info released from this year's E3, you will have no doubt heard about Microsoft's Project Natal for XBOX 360.

This technology is astounding - it makes the Wii look way out of date quite frankly. The shock for me was I never even saw it coming. For Microsoft to be so highly developed in this department was a great surprise to me - this will take gaming to the next level.
I have no real reaction to this. Beyond minigames and puppet shows, I don't know how to contextualise this technology. I can't be certain that it has ramifications of any kind for the games I like to play, or the ones my friends like to play. I mean, I thought the Wii controls looked amazing when I first saw them, little did I know it was going to turn the console into some weird kind of fitness machine that has nothing to do with the kind of games I enjoy. I have a feeling Microsoft is looking enviously at Nintendo's market share and trying to find a way to take money from women and old people the way Nintendo are doing. Not my demographic...
